North Warwickshire and Hinckley College

One of the largest providers of education and training in the Midlands. Based on two main campuses in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and Hinckley, southern Leicestershire, the College offers a wide variety of learning programmes to over 26,000 students.

The College enjoys strong links with its local communities and many students are engaged in learning programmes linked to business, industry and employment. Direct links with the University of Warwick, the University of Central England, Coventry University, De Montfort University and University of Leicester ensure progression routes for many of our full-time learners. Both towns have rail links to London. The Heart of England offers a wealth of opportunity for cultural, historical and recreational activity.


Academic Strengths
The College is strongly committed to higher education with a tradition of progressing learners within the institution and to universities. We have a good reputation as a provider of well-managed programmes run with five local partner Universities or delivered directly. Student achievement and success are celebrated. Over the last three years, we have seen a consistently high achievement level with a 100% achievement rate for many courses. Last year saw students of the HND Media programme win the Documentary Class at a National Film Festival alongside Gold and Silver medals in the National Skills Challenge competition.

The College is recognised as a national Centre of Vocational Excellence for: Logistics; Leadership and Management; Construction; Hospitality and Catering.

Enabling access to higher education through preparation in either vocational or academic learning has a long tradition in the College. We offer a wide variety of English language support programmes, leading to qualifications for international learners. Access programmes including support for English are offered in most study areas.
